Climate Beneficial Indigo Haori

$330.00

About: Designed with references to a traditional Japanese jacket worn over a kimono, this Climate Beneficial Haori was made for daily use. The closure method resembles that of a traditional Haori, where the band needs to be turned inside out to tie the inner closure strings together, otherwise it remains hidden within the jacket when open.

The jacket was dyed in Ryukyu Indigo Labo in Okinawa, Japan which growns and processes it’s own indigo Strobilanthes Cusia.

The Climate Beneficial fabric is grown and processed within California. With cotton on one side and wool on the other, the weight and texture of the material keeps you warm, comfortable, and well aerated. Climate Beneficial materials integrate carbon sequestration methods into soil in the ways that the crops are grown and managed. Lani’s Lana offers Fine Rambouillet Wool in combination with CA Cleaner Cotton™ grown by Gary and Marie in the San Joaquin Valley via California Cloth Foundry.

Ordering: This is a ready made jacket and will be shipped once ordered.

Size: XS, only 1 available.

Customization: The sleeve length is set to the measurement below but can be adjusted. See our Measurement Guide for more information.

Measurements:

  • 20” length back, 22.5” front

  • 23” width ( across center, bust ) meant to be wide

  • 28.5” sleeve length ( neck to wrist cuff ) *customization option

  • Sleeve detail: one of the sleeves has a seam on the cuff on both the top and bottom, see detail photo. This was done in order eliminate as much textile scrap waste as possible when cutting the fabric.

For a custom sized Haori jacket, please take a look at the Climate Beneficial Haori.
